Restaurant Server

An opportunity has arisen within our busy Laguna Restaurant at the Park Plaza Cardiff.

In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that our customers enjoy their time in the restaurant and that all service they receive is carried out in a pleasant and professional manner. This role will be predominantly lunch times, evenings and weekends, Hours can vary between 28-35 hours per week, however staff are expected to be flexible in working times.

Duties Include:

• Welcoming customers to the restaurant, describing menu items and offering suggestions
• Taking customer orders for food, drink and wine
• Serving food, drink and wine at table
• Attending to customer needs during their time in the restaurant
• Setting up restaurant for service, clearing down after service and carrying out all associated tasks
• Bill preparation and cash handling
• Room Service

Candidates must be of a smart appearance, have good communication skills, excellent customer care skills and be flexible with working hours, as hours of work will vary according to business requirements. Candidates should possess an excellent knowledge of food and drink and be a team player with enthusiasm and drive. Previous related work experience is required.
